I’m a mindfulness meditation instructor in the Buddhist Shamatha tradition.

Shamatha is a fancy-sounding Sanskrit word with a beautifully simple meaning -- to dwell in peace.  Here’s how it works. You take your seat, place your attention on your breath and label your thoughts “thinking.”  Do this regularly and you build the habit of mindfulness –being fully aware of the present moment with openness and compassion. Mindfulness Meditation has helped me be less reactive when the sh*t hits the fan. I’m better able to put the brakes on when my thoughts spiral out of control. And I more fully experience joy. I’m passionate about sharing it with you!
